Weekend Rag Quilt Class -- Advanced Beginner

"The Weekend Rag Quilt is super-cute, comfy and great for gifting. And it’s so quick and easy that you can make it in a weekend! Great for beginners, or anyone looking for a quick finish with a big impact. Defying all the laws of sewing, this comfy quilt is made with the seams exposed which are then ""ragged"" up to create this fabulous, cozy effect. This quilt is pure fun and is great for gifting because of how quickly it sews up. It uses the Quilt-As-You-Go method and has no binding, so once your patchwork pieces are assembled, you're done! "

Skill level: Adult Beginner. Students should be comfortable on a sewing machine and be able to thread and wind a bobbin on their own. Students will be expected to complete "homework" in between classes to make sure we stay on schedule. 

What you'll need:

All students receive a 10% discount on supplies for class.  

• Weekend Rag Quilt Pattern by Studio M Squared
• See photo for fabric and batting requirements. Students can opt to make either a crib size or throw size. 
• Coordinating thread 
• Rotary Cutter and/or scissors
• Pins or clips
• Marking pen or chalk
• Spring loaded scissors for clipping the seams. This is optional but highly recommended.

Prep work (optional): If you'd like to spend more timing sewing during class, rather than cutting, you may come to class with all of your pieces already cut. Refer to the pattern for cutting details.
