The Big Bag Class -- Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Bag Making

T"he Big Bag is simple and functional. It was designed to carry lots of stuff! Sewing stuff, retreat stuff, school stuff, traveling stuff. Pockets on both sides of the inside give it just enough storage for the smaller things, but not enough to interfere with the roominess that is the signature of the Big Bag."

BAG DIMENSIONS: 15.5in Wide x 14in Tall x 6.5in Deep.

Skill level:Adult Beginner. Students should be comfortable on a sewing machine and be able to thread and wind a bobbin on their own. Students will have to complete some prep work prior to class in order to finish during class time. 

What you'll need:

All students receive a 10% discount on supplies for class.  

• The Big Bag pattern by Ticklegrass Designs
• Exterior: 1 1/4 yard Outside Panels, pockets, & Straps
• Lining: 1 yard
• Accent: ½ yard Bottom Fabric & Strap Accent Piece (denim in our sample)
• Fusible woven interfacing (SF101): 1 1/2 yard
• Fusible fleece (987F): 1 yard
• Soft & Stable Foam Stablizer: 
• 4 Large 1 9/16" Grommets (Dritz Curtain Grommets)
• You will also need coordinating top thread and bobbin thread to match your fabric, as you’ll be quilting your bag during class.
• Scissors, pins, clips, marking pen/chalk or any other tools you prefer to use.

Prep work:  Please come to class with your outside panel cut and assembled. We will send instructions on how to assemble and prepare this panel for cutting prior to class.
