Jelly Roll Race Quilt Top -- Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Quilting

Ready, set, sew! The Jelly Roll Race is a fun, fast, and surprisingly simple way to make a quilt top using precut fabric strips. Whether you're new to quilting or an experienced quilter looking for a quick and satisfying project, this class is all about having fun while watching your quilt come together!

In this class, you'll learn how to turn a bundle of 2.5" fabric strips into a beautiful quilt top using a clever sewing technique that requires minimal cutting and no complicated piecing. The best part? Every quilt turns out a little different depending on your fabric choices!

Choose to make a baby or lap-sized quilt top, or go bigger with two jelly rolls. You'll leave class with a finished or nearly finished quilt top and a new go-to technique for quick quilts, gifts, and stash-busting projects.

Please note: Students will only finish the quilt top during this class. We will not complete a full quilt. 

Skill Level

Beginner-friendly and great for all skill levels! This is the perfect project for your first quilt, but it's just as fun for experienced sewists. Students must know how to thread and operate a sewing machine independently. No previous quilting experience is necessary!

What you'll need:

Students receive 10% off on all supplies purchased for class.

• One jelly roll for a baby or lap-sized quilt top, or two jelly rolls for a larger quilt top

• Alternatively, 2.5" x 44" strips of assorted fabrics (strips must be cut before class, as there will not be time for cutting)

• Coordinating thread

• Scissors

• Pins

• Rotary cutter

No pattern needed! Just bring your supplies and get ready to sew!

 Sewing machines are provided, but let us know if you prefer to bring your own.
