Tween/Tween Sewing Series --- Ages 11-16

This Three-Week series is designed for students tween & teens of all skill levels. Students will make two projects* while learning the basics of sewing, including how to operate a sewing machine and follow simple sewing patterns.

*If you child has attended one of our classes before and has made any of these projects, let us know prior to the first class and we'll be happy to adjust the projects as needed or make this slightly more complex. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

All supplies are available for purchase in the store. Students receive 10% off their supplies for class. 

Each student will need a tool kit (fabric scissors, wonder clips, a marking pen, and thread) PLUS the supplies below.  Please make sure they have all the supplies prior to the beginning of the first class so that if they finish a project early, they can go onto the next project. 

 Tote Bag:

• 1/2 yard of quilting cotton or canvas for outside
• 1/2 yard of quilting cotton for lining (inside)
• 1 1/4 yard of cotton webbing

Mini Quilt:

• 9 Fat Quarters
• 1.25 yards Quilting Cotton for backing
• 1 package of baby sized batting
