Undies Class -- Intro to Sewing with Knits & Elastic

Take your sewing skills to the next level and learn to make your own undies! In this class, students will learn: how to take their measurements, how to work with knit fabrics, and how to apply elastics. We'll be using the Megan Nielsen Acacia pattern, which is available in 3 size ranges. The pattern is size inclusive and will fit up to a 58" hip.

What you'll need:

Some supplies are available for purchase in the store. We offer all our students 10% off on materials for class. 

• Half yard PRE-WASHED 4-way stretch cotton jersey. Jersey should have at least 20% stretch
  and good recovery. We really like Art Gallery knits for this!
• 2 yards of foldover elastic for the leg openings
• Up to 2 yards waistband elastic (FOE, picot, stretch lace waistband elastic, soft waistband
  elastic or regular knit elastic)
• Ball point, jersey, or stretch needle
• Coordinating thread
• Fabric scissors, pins, or clips
