Breeze into summer with this flowy, elastic waist skirt. The Mave skirt features a drawstring and inseam pockets and can be made in multiple lengths.
Skill level: Confident beginner & up. Students should have prior sewing experience, know how to thread a sewing machine on their own, wind a bobbin, and follow a seam allowance.
What you'll need:
All supplies are available for purchase in the store. Students receive 10% off their purchase for class.

- Mave Skirt Pattern by True Bias (please note this comes in different size ranges)
- 1.5-3 yards of fabric of woven fabric, depending on size making
- 1 1/4 yd of 2” wide elastic
- Lightweight fusible interfacing
- Coordinating thread
- Scissors, pins, and any other sewing tool you prefer to cut with
- Marking pen or chalk
- Swedish Tracing paper (optional)
Optional: To give yourself more time to sew during class, feel free to come with your fabric already cut. If you have questions about sizing or how to cut, send us an email at threelittlebirds.sewingco@gmail.com. For best results and to prevent shrinking, it is ideal to wash your fabric prior to class.
