Want to learn to sew with knits, but don't know where to start? Join us for the Lodo Dress class, an elevated take on the classic t-shirt dress.
This class is appropriate for advanced beginners and beyond -- those that are comfortable threading a machine, winding a bobbin, and following a seam allowance.
Class will cover:
- How to sew with knit (jersey) fabric
- Reading a pattern and basic sewing terminology
- How insert a neck and armhole facings
What you'll need:

- Lodo Dress Pattern by True Bias (note that their are two size ranges)
- Tracing Paper (optional)
- 1.5-3 yards of fabric (depending on size and view making)*
- 1/2 yard of quilting cotton for the facing
- Coordinating Thread
- Scissors
- Pins
Details:
*Suggested Dress Fabrics: Medium weight stable knit fabric with an approximate 25% stretch such as ponte, double knit, and scuba.
Suggested Facing Fabrics: 1/2 yd of medium weight woven fabric such as quilting cotton and linen.
- If you'd like to get a head start, it is helpful to come to class with your fabric already cut out. If you need help with sizing or need help with cutting, you may do so during the first class.
- Sewing machines will be provided, if needed. Please let us know if you plan on bringing yours.
