Arbutus Robe -- Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Garment Making
This class is perfect for anyone ready to expand their garment-sewing skills while making something both practical and luxurious.
Wrap yourself in comfort and style in our Bath Robe Sewing Class! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll sew a cozy, custom-fit robe for yourself or create a thoughtful handmade gift.
Choose from soft cotton flannel, absorbent terry cloth, or smooth satin in colors and prints that match your personal style. Jessica will guide you step by step through the entire process, including assembling the robe, and adding finishing details like the collar, belt, and hems.
By the end of class, you’ll leave with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind bath robe and the confidence to tackle similar garment projects at home.

3-5 yards of fabric*, depending on size making (see chart in pictures)
- Coordinating thread
*Light to medium weight woven fabrics with no stretch. Linen, cotton (lawn, poplin, voile, batiste, chambray, quilting cotton, flannel), silk, wool, hemp, rayon/viscose challis, satin or poplin, and Tencel will work well. Heavier weight textured woven fabrics (like terry cloth, waffle, and velour) will also work with this pattern. Stable knits like fleece are also appropriate. For beginner sewists, we recommend using a lightweight cotton.
** For best results and to prevent shrinking, it is ideal to wash your fabric prior to class.
