Intro to Paper Piecing

Have you ever wanted crisp perfect points or to sew complex shapes for your quilting blocks? Level up your quilting skills with an introduction to paper piecing class! This class will get you comfortable with how to paper piece by creating a sun motif block. Students will choose between two patterns, one simpler and one with curved piecing. Students must be comfortable with using a sewing machine and basic quilting terms. Students will complete one 9" block in class. Complete four blocks to make a throw pillow.  Patterns will be provided. 

Students receive a 10% discount on supplies for class.

• At least three fat quarters in coordinating fabric, or 1 Jelly Roll (Pre-cut 2.5" strips) (or 15-20 scraps 8" x 2.5")

• 1/2 yard of low-volume fabric 

• 1/2 yard of fabric for back of pillow

• Coordinating thread

• Scissors and/or rotary cutter, mat, & ruler, pins or clips*.
• Seam ripper
• Brayer

*We have some supplies available to borrow in the studio if you don't have your own, but you may have to share with other students.
