Learn to Quilt Series --- Supernova (VIRTUAL CLASS)
In this series, students will learn the basics of making a quilt from start to finish using the Supernova Quilt by Fancy Tiger Crafts. This sparkling star quilt comes in four sizes and is beautiful in solids or prints. The Supernova quilt is made using a selection of ten fabrics. Choose five dark fabrics and five light fabrics for a high contrast star, or select five each of your two favorite coordinating colors to work with.
Skill level: Basic sewing skills needed (can follow a seam allowance and thread the machine comfortably)
Skills learned: half-square triangles, piecing, basting, quilting, and binding.
Some sewing will be necessary outside of class time in order to stay on schedule.
Week 1: Review of the pattern, cutting tips & tricks, piecing together the quilt top
Week 2: Continuing to sew quilt top
Week 3: Discussion of basting & quilting
Week 4: How to apply binding
Dates: Saturdays at 10am June 12th + 26th, July 10th and 24th.

- Quilting cotton according to size making (see chart in pictures) for top, backing, and binding
- Coordinating thread
- Cotton batting
- Curved basting pins
- Recommended: rotary cutter, acrylic ruler, and self healing mat
