Three Little Birds Sewing Co
Intro to Quilting: From Start to Finish (VIRTUAL CLASS)
This 4-part series will take students through the basics of creating a throw quilt (56" by 70") from a traditional log cabin pattern. Students will learn to follow a pattern, piece together a quilt top, baste a quilt, quilt and bind it in the comfort of their own sewing space. This pattern is fun because there are so many options based on the fabrics that are used and the orientation/alignment of blocks.
The following schedule will be our guide: Week 1: Fabric selection, cutting, and how to piece together blocks; Week 2: Continue sewing the top of the quilt; Week 3: How to make a quilt sandwich, basting, & quilt techniques; Week 4: Finish quilting and how to bind a quilt. Please note that some "homework" will be required outside of class in order to stay on schedule.
