Ginger Jeans Workshop with Closet Case Files
Workshop is February 24-26th, 2017
Have you ever wanted to make your own jeans? A pair that will fit you like a glove and you'll treasure forever? Here's your chance! Heather Lou of Closet Case Files will be instructing and guiding students through her very popular Ginger Jeans pattern for a full weekend workshop.
About the Ginger Jeans Pattern:
With a modern and flattering cut, Ginger Jeans are the daily staple you’ll reach for again and again. View A features a comfortable low rise with narrow stovepipe legs. View B is sexy and high-waisted with skinny legs and a tummy-slimming pocket stay. Engineered to be as flattering as possible, Ginger Jeans feature subtly shaped back pockets to highlight the curve of the bum, slimming side seams and a higher back rise to prevent peekabooty. Designed for stretch denim, Ginger Jeans will hug you in all the right places.
A little about Heather, in her words:
"I’m Heather Lou, a Montreal based sewing blogger, pattern designer & teacher. I rediscovered sewing a few years ago when I realized my relationship with shopping was financially, environmentally and ethically unsound. I was sick of being in debt, and sick of being enslaved to the fast fashion cycle. Learning to sew changed my life; few things in life give you as much pleasure as making things.
I am extraordinarily passionate about sewing and the power it can have over your creativity, body image and general well being. Building your skills and pushing your sewing practice to new levels doesn't just benefit your wardrobe; it's a tremendous confidence and self esteem booster, with a quantifiable trickle down effect into other areas of your life. I love teaching people how to tap into that sewing mojo and am so excited to share everything I've learned.
If you'd like to stay in touch, check out my blog Closet Case Files, where I write frequently about sewing, DIY and style."
