Wiksten Haori Jacket -- Intermediate Garment Making
The Wiksten Haori Jacket is an oversized, fully lined and reversible jacket that is perfect for transitioning weather. The design includes three different lengths to choose from-- short (hip length), mid (below-hip length), and long (thigh length).
This is a virtual class and will meet via Zoom. Class will meet for three sessions (Oct 13th, 20th, and 27th) from 7-8:30pm. Class time will be used for instruction, demos, and questions. Students may chose to sew during class or on their own. Classes will be recorded and made available for 30 days past class. Zoom link is sent via e-mail approximately 20 minutes prior to class.
What you'll need:
Students receive 10% off any supplies purchased for class with the code VirtualClass (cannot be used on the pattern since you need to purchase directly through Wiksten).
- Wiksten Kimono Jacket Pattern *
- 2-3 yards of main fabric, depending on size making
- 3-4 yards of lining fabric, depending on size making
- 2 1/2 yards of lightweight, fusible interfacing
- Coordinating thread
Main Fabric: medium weight woven fabric with good drape, such as textured cotton, chambray, linen, soft denim, cotton/linen blend, twill, and wool
Lining: light to medium weight woven fabric with good drape, such as textured cotton, chambray, linen, cotton/linen blend, and silk
